In 1957, the company, along with subsidiary Axia Fans, agreed a ninety-nine-year lease on a new 4.5-acre (1.8 ha) site at Manor Royal in Crawley. The company was sold to Smiths Group in 1992 and became part of Volution Group when it was formed in 2002.

Continuous Ventilation works by extracting stale and moist air from the home at a low rate all of the time. Continuous ventilation products from Vent-Axia are designed to work with the natural air infiltration and control the air path from the building thus preventing migration of damaging humidity and pollutants.
How do I set the timer on my Vent-Axia fan?
The timer can be activated by removing the Jumper JP1, this will give the fan a fixed over run time of approx. 15 mins. BEFORE ADJUSTING THE CONTROLLER, SWITCH OFF THE MAINS SUPPLY. HUMIDISTAT SHOULD ONLY BE ADJUSTED BEFORE OR DURING INSTALLATION.

Should I leave my Vent-Axia on all the time?
Where necessary, with most humidity controlled fans, you can adjust the sensitivity of the humidity sensor. Do not expect to see an instant reaction after adjusting the sensor, and please remember to leave the fan for at least half an hour to acclimatise.
Should my extractor fan be on all the time?
A bathroom extractor fan usually stays on for 20 seconds to 20 minutes. You can however decide for yourself how long you want the fan to be on for if you buy a timer model. Additionally, an extractor fan will stay on until it has cleared away enough humidity from a room if it is a humidity-based model.
